Costume completed - August 2, 2007

There are a whole bunch of characters I love in Naruto. This one is a mysterious one since not that much is known about her. There are questions on what kind of connection she has with Kakashi in the past. I wanted to make an anbu outfit and she was the only female character presented so far in the series.

Over top - The top was made using an altered top pattern. I used a light gray material based on the anime, and thin foam throughout to give it some shape, since it looks thick in the series. 

Under top and pants - I used black stretchy material to make these items. The undertop was a turtle neck sleeveless shirt.

Gloves - I made these from scratch with the black stretchy material. This was the hardest part of the costume for me to make since I had never made gloves before. I used craft foam painted silver for the gloves. This was attached using black velcro. A maroon colored armband made out of stretchy material was tied to left arm.

Legs - I used PVC leather to make the piece that goes from my ankle to knees. I used the same black stretchy material from the undershirt and paints and put thin foam inside for the piece that wraps around the legs and another separate piece was used for the shoes.

Shoes - These were the same shoes I used for my Sakura costume.

Armbands - I made these using the same material as the top. I attached them with velcro. For the first time I took pics in this costume, I used thin foam inside the armbands, but afterwards I felt that it wasn't stiff enough, so I found some material that were once used to make our roof, and that worked so much better.

Pouch - This same pouch was used from my Sakura costume.

Leg wrap thing - This was made using white material, and it stayed together using velcro.

Sword - This was a cheap sword that I bought during Halloween time. This was painted with acrylics.

Anbu tattoo - This was drawn on using red lip liner.

Mask - The mask was made using model magic and acrylic paint. I used this tutorial on cosplay.com.

Wig - The wig was bought on e-bay.
