Costume completed - July 31, 2005
Garnet or Dagger, is the main heroine of FF9. Yet another one I loved. She's a princess, but at least it's not your spoiled typical one.
Jumpsuit - I actually used a real pattern this
time. I used the KwikSew 3052 and made adjustments to the pattern.
Creating this jumpsuit was a really challenging experience. It was my
first time to use eyelets on a costume too.
Choker - The choker was made from black stretchy
fabric.
White Shirt - I made this using one of my shirts as
a guide. I used some elastic on each piece of the arms to create the
bunched up look.
Shoes - This was made from an old pair of boots I
found at a thrift store. Using vinyl, I added some pieces to the shoe to
match garnets. I used white yarn to sew the white lines across the shoe.
Necklace - This was made using paperclay, a fake
crystal bought off e-bay, and clear cord. The chain was bought from
Hobby Lobby.
Hair Tie - The hair tie was made from a piece of
belt and a chopstick.
Gloves - The gloves were found off e-bay and painted
with acrylics. For the belt buckles on the jumpsuit and the gloves, I
used craft foam.
Total spent - $164.75
